Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;
Workshop environment working on all types of plant/fleet equipment to agreed maintenance levels based at Slade Green, Kent.
Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;
Undertake servicing & repairs to all equipment in line with the manufacturer’s instructions
Complete record sheets, paper or electronic
Take responsibility for plant, equipment and vehicle defect inspections
Be available for emergency and/or winter call outs
Carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management
Formal qualifications required;
City & Guilds in commercial/plant vehicle repairs
LGV Class 1 or 2 (desirable/training given)
CPC in transport (desirable/training given)
Full Driving Licence
CSCS Card (desirable/training given)
Emergency First Aid (desirable/training given)
Manual Handling/Abrasive Wheels/Banksman
Previous experience in a similar role essential
Mig and Arc welding
Hydraulics and electrics essential
Understanding of electronics
Knowledge of vehicles and plant
Good knowledge of Health & Safety and able to promote safe working practices
Good communications skills
Able to work on own initiative
Enthusiastic team player
Flexible in terms of hours worked and attitude
