We may not think about how many thousands of miles of roads there are across the UK and how important this highways infrastructure is to our day to day lives. But whilst we go about our business not giving it a second thought, there are many people who work in the highways industry providing vital maintenance and safety services that benefit our communities.

When We're not laying new surfaces or repairing existing roads (e.g. pothole repairs, grass cutting, winter gritting services) we are providing traffic management, regenerating busy high streets, and installing new bridges, undertaking great feats of engineering with our multi-disciplined teams.

There’s so much variety as a Highways Operative and it’s a career to be proud of. If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a hard-working team and would like a meaningful job, where your contribution adds value to people’s surroundings, an apprenticeship with Eurovia is an excellent way to embark on this exciting career path.

Eurovia is a multi-award-winning highways contractor. We seek out the most sustainable and innovative ways to produce, construct, improve and regenerate infrastructure solutions that bring benefits on a national scale and this is all down to the hard work and commitment of our people, who we take great pride investing in and developing.

Our Highways Maintenance Operative Apprenticeships take around 18 months to 2 years and provides you with a learning experience that will develop your practical, technical and team working skills with Health & Safety at the heart of everything you do. There’s a permanent job for you upon achievement and great longer-term career prospects with our company.
